NEW YORK, March 1, 2022–Jennifer Kyung, Property & Casualty (P&C) Chief Underwriter, USAA, has been elected to a two-year term as chairwoman of the(Triple-I) Executive Leadership Committee (ELC).“The first woman ever to hold this post, Jennifer Kyung brings to the position more than 25 years of insurance industry experience and has held numerous leadership roles during her distinguished career,” said, CEO, Triple-I. “Jennifer is a strong proponent of our mission to be the trusted source of unique, data-driven insights on insurance. I look forward to working with Jennifer and have Triple-I and its Executive Leadership Committee benefit from her extensive industry knowledge.”“The Triple-I is the go-to resource for consumers, media outlets, and professionals seeking useful insurance information, so I appreciate the opportunity to help the Information Institute continue to do the essential work it has done since the organization’s founding 60-plus years ago,” Kyung stated.Kyung joined USAA in 2019 as its San Antonio, Texas-based P&C Chief Underwriter and is responsible for USAA’s underwriting strategy and acceptability, operations, and regulatory management. Prior to that, Kyung was a Managing Director in Ernst and Young’s Global Underwriting practice; held senior-level executive underwriting positions at Zurich , and focused on automated underwriting solutions and underwriting transformation while in Accenture’s Global Underwriting practice.Before her election as Triple-I’s ELC chair, Kyung was a Triple-I ELC member. Her other non-profit affiliations include service as a board liaison to the Industry Charitable Foundation’s (IICF) Midwest Division and as a Vice President, Strategy, for the WINGS Program, Inc., which provides housing, education, and advocacy to end domestic violence.Kyung graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Economics and is an active member of the Northwestern Alumni Admissions Council.Her immediate predecessor as ELC chair was Richard Creedon, Chairman of the Board and CEO of the member companies of the.Triple-I’s member companies account for nearly 50 percent of all auto, homeowners, and business insurance premiums written in the United States, including 7 of the top 10 P/C insurers.The Information Institute is an affiliate of.
