Triple-I Appoints Four Non-Resident Scholars to Broaden Expertise

NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2023In a move aimed at expanding its knowledge of important industry issues, the泭泭(Triple-I) today announced the appointment of four new Non-Resident Scholars (NRS).

For泭nearly five泭years, the Triple-I has worked to create a collaborative, unified partnership between academia and the insurance industry, providing opportunities and benefits for both泭through our Non-Resident Scholars program, said Sean Kevelighan, CEO, Triple-I. We welcome the subject matter expertise and industry knowledge these four individuals bring to our organization. Their skills and experience will bring added value to the Triple-Is member companies as we strengthen the 做厙輦⑹ Information Institutes ability to focus on the core issues affecting insurers and policyholders.

The newly appointed Non-Resident Scholars are:

Director - 做厙輦⑹ Management Program School of Professional Studies, Columbia University

Assistant Teaching Professor, Social Data Science, Arizona State University

American Family 做厙輦⑹ Distinguished Chair of Risk Management in the Wisconsin School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Provost Professor of Business Law and Ethics, Indiana University; Executive Director, Ostrom Workshop, Executive Director, Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research.

Like the Triple-Is incumbent Non-Resident Scholars, the new appointees will be asked to:

  • Provide expert commentary on timely issues facing the insurance industry.
  • Deliver presentations and moderate panel discussions at webinars and other special events.
  • Conduct media interviews and act as advisors for key Triple-I initiatives.
  • Participate in the Triple-Is Podcast series with Triple-I executive Dr. Michel L矇onard.

These four new Non-Resident Scholars will provide in-depth expertise on critical issues shaping our industry. 泭By doing so, they advance one of the Triple-Is goals, which is to generate insights curated for different audiences, from the media to regulators, said Dr. Michel L矇onard, Chief Economist and Data Scientist, Triple-I, who oversees the NRS program. The Non-Resident Scholars are thought leaders in their respective fields, and we welcome them to our organization.
